Dear fellow Traveller,

Thank you for your interest in the ANTA International Driving Permit (IDP). This permit is valid, as per the Geneva Convention on International Road Traffic, signed into international law on September 19, 1949. This is an international treaty that regulates motor traffic, of which the United States became a member of in 1952.

With this permit you can lawfully drive in over 200 countries, including the united States (with the exception of Indonesia—its country of origin), and needs to be coupled with the Foreign National Drivers License (FDL).
